Under
the 'Partners' page each partner has set out its own field of activity.
They provide a wide range of local authority, training, business
representative and employment services.
The
partnership, by co-ordinating its efforts and, where necessary,
acting collectively, aims to enhance the economic, social and physical
infrastructure of the West Wiltshire community.
The
Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce is contracted to enable
the Partnership to achieve these aims and has appointed a manager
who is responsible for ensuring that a deliverable action plan is
agreed to by the partners. He will support the partners in achieving
their aims by:-
- Monitoring
sources of UK government and EU funding, bringing these to partners
attention and assisting them to submit bids for such funds where
they can be applied towards achieving partnership objectives.
- Promoting
the Partnership to the local community via the media.
- Paying
close attention to economic developments likely to impact on the
area and Partnership objectives.
- Collecting
the views of the local business and other communities to make
sure that local views about economic, social and infrastructure
needs are fully reflected in plans.
Anyone
interested in the economic, social or infrastructure needs of the
community should get in touch with the manager, LEN TURNER.
