WWEP activity: Classroom supplies
To support the work of the Waterfall Charity in constructing an orphanage school in Tanga, Tanzania, WWEP supplied a 20ft shipping container full of educational supplies including reception and primary sized furniture for the classrooms along with computers and books to support both the academic and residential areas of the orphanage.
The orphanage is unique as it caters specifically for the needs of Albino children who are often persecuted and murdered for body parts for ritualistic medicine, the Mwakedelia orphanage is a place of safety.
Psycho-social support has been offered to the orphanage school to support the children and to work with them to overcome their fears, violent experiences and victimisation which has lead them to become pupils at this school.
